Commentary
The third-generation GEMINI began with the launch of a sedan with a short hood and long cabin and in a “capsule form” where the plane linking from the front end with no radiator grill to the hood and to the sides was seamlessly connected.
The extended wheelbase and tread made the interior more spacious. Some advanced features included fourteen-inch 4-wheel disc brakes that were standard equipment and ABS equipped as an option. Irmscher R, a fulltime 4WD model, was also added to the lineup.
A coupe and a hatchback were later added, bringing the available body types to three.
The model was sold through GM’s Geo Brand dealerships and Isuzu’s own sales network.
